Crotone 3 – NUO 3: Honours even and points shared at the Ezio Scida Stadium

On Wednesday, Crotone and NUO were held to a 3-3 draw at the Ezio Scida Stadium. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Crotone were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 3-0 to Lecce whilst NUO were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Como. After today’s result, Crotone and NUO currently occupy 18th and 17th spots in the league, with 15 points and 20 points respectively after 25 matches.

NUO started the game well, with a goal from Laura at the 30 minute mark. NUO then scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Rigione just before half-time. The score at half time was 0-2.

Crotone fought back, thanks to Maric finding the net at the 53 minute mark. Crotone looked to have the game under control when they scored again and incerased their lead, thanks to a effort from Maric in the 56th minute to establish a 2-2. However, each side looked hungry to win and NUO then found the back of the net at the 64 minute mark thanks to Liotti, taking the score to 3-2. In the end though, their lead was short lived, as Maric equalised for Crotone just before the final whistle. The game ended wih a 3-3 draw.

For Crotone, Kargbo, Marras and Kone, came on for Giannotti, Estevez and Borello. NUO brought on Carraro, Millico, Hristov and Michael Venturi for Ndoj, Giuseppe Caso, Liotti and Kongolo.

There were bookings for Awua, Sala and Kargbo from Crotone. For NUO, Giuseppe Caso, Camporese, Väisänen, Liotti, Šitum and Rigione saw yellow.

Crotone will next play Ascoli away, with NUO facing US Alessandria at home.
