Crotone 3 – USC 1: Home fans rewarded with victory at the Ezio Scida Stadium

Crotone enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Cremonese at the Ezio Scida Stadium on Monday. Crotone arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with SPAL in their previous game while USC were able to continue their winning streak after a 3-1 win against Nuova Cosenza in their last match. Following today’s result, Crotone and USC sit 19th, (25 points) and 2nd, (66 points), in the table respectively, after 36 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Crotone, thanks to a goal from Kargbo, 13 minutes in. The momentum was now with Crotone, who then scored again through a goal from Baez at the 38 minute mark to establish a 2-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Calapai just before half-time, finalising the first half 3-0.
USC took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Zanimacchia at the 61 minute mark. When the final wisthle blew, the result was 3-1 to Crotone.
For Crotone, Schirò, Giannotti, Mondonico, Kone and Borello, came on for Estevez, Calapai, Cuomo, Kargbo and Schnegg. USC brought on Crescenzi, Luca Valzania, Ciofani, Gondo and Di Carmine, to replace Meroni, Fagioli, Strizzolo, Castagnetti and Buonaiuto.
There were bookings for Maric and Cuomo from Crotone. For USC, Ravanelli saw yellow.
Crotone will next travel to Pordenone, while USC will face Ascoli at home.
