USC 0 – ASC 1: Visitors ecstatic after win at Stadio Giovanni Zini

USC were defeated at home by Ascoli at Stadio Giovanni Zini on Saturday. USC were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Crotone. ASC are struggling for form following a draw in their last match. As things stand, USC and ASC are 3rd, (66 points) and 7th, (62 points), in the table respectively, after 37 matches.

After a goalless first half, ASC certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to Baschirotto giving ASC the lead, 51 minutes in. The game ended with a 1-0 victory for the visitors.

For USC, Fagioli, Di Carmine, Zanimacchia, Strizzolo and Rafia, came on for Castagnetti, Ciofani, Luca Valzania, Buonaiuto and Valeri. ASC replaced Baschirotto, Caligara, Paganini, Tommaso D’orazio and Dionisi with Salvi, Büchel, Maistro, Falasco and Bidaoui.

There were bookings for Valeri, Castagnetti and Ravanelli from USC. For ASC, Büchel, Collocolo, Salvi and Leali saw yellow.

USC will next travel to Como, while ASC will face Ternana Calcio at home.
