Como 1 – CTT 2: Visitors at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia secure victory

Cittadella beats Como 2-1 on Saturday at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Como arrived at the game looking pick up points, following a previous defeat to Parma. CTT secured a point against Perugia in their previous match. After today’s result, Como are in 13th place, with 44 points from 34 matches, while CTT sit in 10th, with 48 points from 34.

CTT started strongly in the first half, thanks to Baldini finding the net, 13 minutes in. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Ciciretti at the 14 minute mark brought Como level. However, CTT, at 35 minutes found the back of the net following another Baldini goal, which saw the first half end 1-2. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For Como, Nardi, Gabrielloni, Peli, Álex Blanco and Kabashi, came on for Arrigoni, La Gumina, Bovolon, Ciciretti and Bellemo. CTT brought on Laribi, Icardi, Danzi and Tavernelli, to replace Lores, Antonucci, Vita and Beretta.

The referee booked Parigini and Solini from Como and Parigini (2 yellow cards) and Solini (2 yellow cards) went off with a red card, while CTT’s Perticone, Donnarumma, Mattioli and Danzi also received a yellow.

Como will next travel to Pisa, while CTT will face US Alessandria at home.
