Como 2 – ASS 0: Home fans rewarded with victory at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia

Como eased past AC Monza in a 2-0 victory on Sunday at Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. Both sides arrived fresh from some positive results. Como were looking to pick up points, following a 1-0 victory against Perugia. ASS were coming from consecutive wins against Crotone and US Alessandria. After today’s result, Como are in 13th place, with 44 points from 32 matches, while ASS sit in 5th, with 57 points from 32.

After an un-eventful first half, Como were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to Cerri giving Como the lead, at 55 minutes. However they weren’t finished yet and La Gumina made it 2-0 in the 81st minute to make it 2-0.

For Como, Arrigoni, La Gumina, Bovolon and Gabrielloni, came on for Ciciretti, Gliozzi, Ioannou and Cerri. ASS brought on Colpani, Pepín, Gytkjaer, Caldirola and Lorenzo Pirola, to replace Mota, Paletta, Mancuso, Sampirisi and D’Alessandro.

There were bookings for Cagnano and Gabrielloni from Como. For ASS, Mota and Ciurria saw yellow.

Como will next play Parma away, with ASS facing Ascoli at home.
