Brescia 2 – Perugia 1: Visitors leave Stadio Mario Rigamonti with nothing

Perugia fell to an away defeat at the hands of Brecia Calcio at Stadio Mario Rigamonti on Tuesday. Brescia wanted to continue adding points after a 1-1 draw against Como. Perugia had lost their previous match against Benevento. Following today’s result, Brescia and Perugia currently occupy 1st and 9th spots in the league, with 51 points and 41 points respectively after 27 matches.

Perugia started the game well, with a goal from De Luca in the 28th minute, finalising the first half 0-1.

Brescia continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Bianchi at the 81 minute mark. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Palacio, at 84 minutes with a final score of 2-1.

For Brescia, Pajač, Tramoni, Bajić, Bertagnoli and Bianchi, came on for Adorni, Cistana, Aye, Proia and Léris. Perugia brought on Falzerano, Zanandrea, Santoro, Matos and Carretta, to replace Olivieri, Beghetto, D’urso, De Luca and Segre.

The referee booked Adorni and Pajač from Brescia. Perugia had the worst of it though, with Ferrarini seeing yellow, and Ferrarini (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Brescia will next travel to Cremonese, while Perugia will face Lecce at home.
