Brecia Calcio beated Benevento 1-0 on Friday at Stadio Mario Rigamonti. Brescia were looking to pick up points after winning their previous two matches in the league. The most recent was against the Modena away (3-1), the other to Perugia at home (2-1) while Benevento had lost their previous match against Cagliari. Brescia and Benevento are 1st, (15 points) and 12th, (7 points), in the league respectively, after 6 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Brescia piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Bianchi gave them the lead just before the final whistle. When the final whistle blew, the result was 1-0 to Brescia.
