Brescia 2 – Benevento 2: Victory elusive at Stadio Mario Rigamonti for both sides

On Tuesday, Brescia and Benevento were held to a 2-2 draw at Stadio Mario Rigamonti. Brescia arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Lecce in their previous game. Benevento were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-1 victory against Crotone. Following today’s result, Brescia and Benevento currently occupy 3rd and 6th spots in the league, with 53 points and 51 points respectively after 30 matches.

Brescia started the game well, with an early goal from Bisoli in the 2nd minute. However, they didn’t maintain the lead for long though, an equalizer from Tello in the 21st minute, brought Benevento level. Brescia in turn, then responded at the 32 minute mark increasing their lead with an effort from Moreo. The score at half time was 2-1.

Benevento took the lead in the second half, thanks to a goal from Forte in the 68th minute, leaving the final score at 2-2.

For Brescia, Tramoni, Sabelli, Aye, Jagiello and Bajić, came on for Bianchi, Cistana, Proia, Bertagnoli and Mangraviti. Benevento replaced Diego Farias, Elia, Moncini, Glik and Acampora for Insigne, Petriccione, Pastina, Masciangelo and Caló.

The referee booked Bisoli and Léris from Brescia. Benevento had the worst of it though, with Tello seeing yellow, and Tello (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Benevento and Brescia will next play away to Frosinone and Pordenone respectively.
