Brescia 2 – ASC 0: Visitors leave Stadio Mario Rigamonti empty handed

Brecia Calcio eased past Ascoli in a 2-0 victory on Wednesday at Stadio Mario Rigamonti. Brescia wanted to improve their league standing following a disappointing 2-2 draw with Frosinone in their previous game whilst ASC were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against US Alessandria and Benevento. After today’s result, Brescia and ASC currently occupy 1st and 9th spots in the table, with 47 points and 39 points respectively after 25 matches.
Brescia started strongly in the first half, thanks to Palacio giving Brescia the lead at the 19 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0.
Brescia started the second half with renewed vigour, with Palacio finding the net again at the 53 minute mark. The final result, Brescia 2, ASC 0.
For Brescia, Moreo, Tramoni, Proia and Bertagnoli, came on for Bajić, Palacio, Jagiello and Van De Looi. ASC brought on Ricci, Caligara, Dionisi, Iliev and Paganini, to replace Collocolo, Büchel, Maistro, Tsadjout and Falasco.
There were bookings for Bisoli and Tramoni from Brescia. For ASC, Botteghin, Caligara and Bidaoui saw yellow.
Brescia will next travel to Como, while ASC will face Crotone at home.
