ASC 4 – Ternana 1: Bad day for visitors at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca

Ascoli defeat Ternana Calcio 4-1 on Friday at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca. Both sides arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. ASC were looking to continue their run, following a 1-0 victory against Cremonese while Ternana were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Perugia and Benevento. This left, ASC and Ternana are 6th (65 points) and 10th (54 points) in the league respectively, after a total of 38 matches.

ASC started strongly in the first half, with Tsadjout opening the rout early in the first half. ASC looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a effort from Tsadjout at the 20 minute mark to establish a 2-0. However, Ternana secured the points emphatically, with a goal from Partipilo just before half-time. The score at half time was 2-1.

ASC continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Tsadjout finding the net again at the 60 minute mark. However they weren’t finished yet and Defendi made it 4-1, at 63 minutes with a final score of 4-1.

For ASC, Paganini, Iliev, Caligara, Eramo and Fontana, came on for Tommaso D’orazio, Tsadjout, Maistro, Dario Saric and Büchel. Ternana brought on Partipilo, Paghera, Ghiringhelli, Capanni and Capone, to replace Martella, Palumbo, Defendi, Agazzi and Pettinari.

There were bookings for Tommaso D’orazio from ASC. For Ternana, Pettinari saw yellow.
