ASC 2 – PIS 0: Home fans rewarded with victory at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca

Ascoli beats Pisa 2-0 on Wednesday at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca. Both ASC and PIS arrived on the back of wins. ASC were looking to pick up points after winning last match. PIS were hoping to increase their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Cremonese and Pordenone. As the table looks today, ASC are in 7th place, with 49 points from 30 matches, while PIS sit in 3rd, with 55 points from 30.

ASC started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Dionisi finding the net, 42 minutes in. However they weren’t finished yet and Dionisi made it 2-0 just before half-time, finishing the first half 2-0. The second 45 minutes ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

For ASC, Bidaoui, Maistro, Eramo, Salvi and Tommaso D’orazio, came on for Dionisi, Ricci, Dario Saric, Caligara and Falasco. PIS replaced Berra, Sibilli, Marin, Torregrossa and Cohen with Hermannsson, De Vitis, Benali, Puşcaş and Mastinu.

There were bookings for Tsadjout from ASC, and Birindelli and Cohen, for PIS.

ASC will next travel to Vicenza, while PIS will face Cittadella at home.
