ASC 2 – Crotone 1: Visitors leave Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca empty handed

Ascoli strolled past Crotone with a 2-1 win on Sunday at Stadio Cino e Lillo Del Duca. ASC arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing 2-0 to Brecia Calcio in their previous fixture. Crotone, on the other hand, secured a point against Nuova Cosenza in their previous match. After today’s result, ASC and Crotone currently occupy 7th and 19th spots in the table, with 42 points and 15 points respectively after 26 matches.

After a goalless first half, Crotone certainly were out of the blocks quickly in the second half, thanks to Kone finding the net, at 54 minutes. However, they were unable to maintain their lead, Falasco managed to equalize and take the sides off, 84 minutes in at 1-1. However they weren’t finished yet and Maistro made it 2-1 just before the final whistle with a final score of 2-1.

For ASC, Maistro, Bidaoui, Paganini, Falasco and Iliev, came on for Dario Saric, Ricci, Dionisi, Eramo and Tommaso D’orazio. Crotone brought on Mogos, Borello, Giannotti and Mulattieri for Calapai, Marras, Kargbo and Awua.

There were bookings for Botteghin, Dario Saric, Bellusci and Maistro from ASC, and Sala, Estevez and Kone, for Crotone.

Crotone and ASC will next play away to Pisa and Lecce respectively.
