ASS 4 – VIC 0: Bad day for visitors at Stadio Comunale Brianteo

AC Monza on a 4-0 win against Vicenza on Saturday at Stadio Comunale Brianteo. Both ASS and VIC arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. ASS were looking to continue their run after winning last match whilst VIC had been hopeful of extending their winning run, after a 3-1 victory against Ternana Calcio. Following today’s result, ASS are in 5th place, with 51 points from 29 matches, while VIC sit in 18th, with 21 points from 29.

ASS started strongly in the first half, with Sampirisi opening the rout at the 9 minute mark, seeing out the first half 1-0.

ASS continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Barberis finding the net in the 84th minute. ASS looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Pasini in the 90th minute to establish a 3-0. However they weren’t finished yet and Mancuso made it 4-0 just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-0.

For ASS, Barberis, Antov, Mancuso, D’Alessandro and Bettella, came on for Mazzitelli, Sampirisi, Mota, Pedro Pereira and Caldirola. VIC brought on Sandon, Padella, Da Cruz, Teodorczyk and Pasini, to replace Crecco, Giacomelli, Zonta, Boli and Maggio.

The referee booked Caldirola and D’Alessandro from ASS. VIC had the worst of it though, with Padella and Cavion seeing yellow, and De Maio then sent off with a red.

ASS will next play US Alessandria away, with VIC facing Parma at home.
