ASS 0 – Lecce 1: Giallorossi secure 3 points at Stadio Comunale Brianteo

Lecce enjoyed a mesmerising away victory against ASS at Stadio Comunale Brianteo on Sunday. ASS were looking to pick up points, following a 4-1 victory against Pordenone while Lecce lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Cittadella. As it stands, ASS are in 6th place, with 44 points from 26 matches, while Lecce sit in 1st, with 49 points from 26.

After an un-eventful first half, Lecce continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Coda giving Giallorossi the lead in the 56th minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.

For ASS, Colpani, Mota, Gytkjaer and Ciurria, came on for Barberis, Mancuso, Mattia Valoti and Molina. Lecce brought on Blin, Simic, Ragusa, Pablo Rodríguez and Gendrey, to replace Helgason, Tuia, Listkowski, Gabriel Espeto and Calabresi.

There were bookings for Donati, Mazzitelli, Pepín and Paletta from ASS. For Lecce, Tuia, Lucioni and Gargiulo saw yellow.

Lecce and ASS will next play at home to Ascoli and Parma respectively.
