Querétaro 1 – Puebla 1: Los Gallos Blancos unable to break dead-lock with Los Camoteros

On Friday, Querétaro and Puebla played out a 1-1 draw at Estadio La Corregidora. Querétaro arrived at the match looking to pick up more points, following defeat to América. Puebla, meanwhile, had secured a point against Deportivo Toluca in their previous match. Querétaro and Puebla currently occupy 18th and 10th spots in the table, with 7 points and 14 points respectively after 12 matches.

Los Gallos Blancos started strongly in the first half, when Ariel Nahuelpan found the net on the 22 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0.

Los Camoteros took the initiative in the second half, with a goal from Jozy Altidore in the 75th minute. The match ended wih a 1-1 draw.

Substitutions for Querétaro included Rodrigo Lopez and Jose Angulo for Clifford Aboagye and Angel Sepulveda, respectively. Puebla brought on Ivo Vazquez, Israel Reyes, Jozy Altidore, Omar Fernandez and Emilio Martinez for Daniel Aguilar, Lucas Maia, Ivan Moreno, Jordi Cortizo and Gustavo Ferrareis.

There were bookings for Gabriel Rojas, Omar Mendoza, Kevin Escamilla and Rodrigo Lopez from Querétaro, and Maximiliano Araujo and Ivo Vazquez, for Puebla.

Querétaro will play away against Deportivo Toluca, while Puebla will face América at home.
