Sunday’s fixture between Monterrey and Mazatlán delivered a goalless draw at Estadio Bbva Bancomer. Both Monterrey and Mazatlán arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Monterrey were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 1-0 to Guadalajara. Mazatlán lost 3-1 in their against América. Monterrey and Mazatlán currently occupy 1st and 11th spots in the table, with 24 points and 12 points respectively after 12 matches.
