Pachuca enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against León at Estadio Miguel Hidalgo on Monday. Both Pachuca and León came from defeats in their previous league games. Pachuca arrived at the match looking pick up points after losing their last match 3-0 to América. León were beaten 2-1 in the previous match against Santos Laguna. As the table looks today, Pachuca and León currently occupy 6th and 15th spots in the table, with 15 points and 9 points respectively after 10 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Pachuca applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Israel Luna gave Los Tuzos the lead just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for Pachuca.

Substitutions for Pachuca included Marino Hinestroza, Israel Luna, Eduardo Lopez and Illian Hernandez for Jesus Daniel Hernandez Casiano, Aviles Hurtado, Roberto De La Rosa and Nicolas Ibanez, repectively. León brought on Lucas Di Yorio, Jorge Diaz, Stiven Barreiro and Yairo Moreno for Joel Campbell, Luis Montes, Victor Davila and Federico Martinez.

The referee booked Kevin Alvarez, Gustavo Cabral and Marino Hinestroza from Pachuca. León had the worst of it though, with Julien Celestine, Luis Montes, Paul Bellon Saracho, Byron Castillo and Rodolfo Cota seeing yellow, and Julien Celestine (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Pachuca will next travel to Deportivo Toluca, while León will face Atlas at home.
