Monterrey 0 – Tigres 0: Goal-less draw leaves both teams frustrated

On Sunday, Monterrey and Tigres were held to a 0-0 draw at Estadio Bbva Bancomer. Monterrey were looking for a victory after a 1-1 draw against Deportivo Toluca. Tigres were coming off the back of a 2-0 win against Santos Laguna. As it stands, Monterrey and Tigres sit 2nd, (20 points) and 3rd, (18 points), in the league respectively, after 10 matches.

Substitutions for Monterrey included Edson Gutierrez, Jesus Gallardo, Rodolfo Pizarro and Matias Kranevitter for Erick Aguirre, Sebastian Vegas, Luis Romo and Arturo Gonzalez, repectively. Tigres brought on Raymundo Fulgencio, Eduardo Tercero and Juan Vigon, to replace Nicolas Lopez, Diego Reyes and Luis Quinones.

There were bookings for Rodrigo Aguirre, Luis Romo and Matias Kranevitter from Monterrey. For Tigres, Nicolas Lopez and Sebastian Cordova saw yellow.

Monterrey will next travel to Tijuana, while Tigres will face Necaxa at home.
