León 0 – Toluca 1: No home advantage for Los Panzas Verdes as Los Diablos Rojos win

León on home loss to Deportivo Toluca at Estadio Leon on Wednesday. León were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Guadalajara in their previous game while Toluca were coming off the back of a 2-1 win against Santos Laguna. As it stands, León and Toluca currently occupy 8th and 2nd spots in the table, with 6 points and 12 points respectively after 5 matches.

Following a goalless first half, Los Diablos Rojos continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Daniel Alvarez gave Toluca the lead just before the final whistle, which sealed the victory for the visitors.

Substitutions for León included Jose Rodriguez, Javier Ibarra, Yairo Moreno and Jose Alvarado for Angel Mena, Luis Montes, Victor Davila and Joel Campbell, repectively. Toluca brought on Carlos Gonzales, Sebastian Saucedo, Alan Rodriguez and Daniel Alvarez for Camilo Da Silva, Jean Meneses, Fernando Navarro and Jordan Sierra.

The referee booked eight players. Fidel Daniel Ambriz Gonzalez, Luis Montes, Lucas Di Yorio, Stiven Barreiro and Paul Bellon Saracho from León, who saw yellow cards and Fidel Daniel Ambriz Gonzalez (2 yellow cards), sent off with a red, as well as for Toluca Fernando Navarro and Jordan Sierra also seeing yellows.

León will play their next fixture at home against América, while Toluca will face Juárez away.
