Cruz Azul 1 – Necaxa 0: La Máquina celebrate home win against Los Rayos

Cruz Azul defeated Necaxa 1-0 on Sunday at Estadio Azteca. Cruz Azul arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Atl. San Luis in their previous game whilst Necaxa were coming from consecutive wins against Pachuca and Juárez. As the table looks today, Cruz Azul are currently 7th with 8 points from 6 matches, while Necaxa sit in 4th, with 9 points from 6.

Cruz Azul started the match well, thanks to a goal from Ivan Morales in the 38th minute to see out the first half 1-0. The second half ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Substitutions for Cruz Azul included Angel Romero, Gonzalo Carneiro, Rafael Guerrero and Rodrigo Huescas for Carlos Rodriguez, Ivan Morales, Uriel Antuna and Jose Martinez, repectively.
