ATL 3 – Querétaro 1: Los Zorros see visitors off at Estadio Jalisco

Atlas snatched all three points from Querétaro in a 3-1 victory on Friday, at Estadio Jalisco. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. ATL were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to Santos Laguna. Querétaro, on the other hand, lost 2-1 in the last match they played against Tigres UANL. As it stands, ATL and Querétaro are 14th, (7 points) and 18th, (2 points), in the league respectively, after 7 matches.
Los Gallos Blancos started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Angel Sepulveda found the net, at 35 minutes to see out the first half 1-0.
Los Zorros continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Luis Reyes at the 64 minute mark. The momentum was now with ATL, who then scored again through a goal from Jonathan Herrera, 69 minutes in to establish a 2-1. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Julian Quinones at the 84 minute mark to make it 3-1.
Substitutions for ATL included Anibal Chala, Jesus Ocejo, Edyairth Ortega and Emanuel Aguilera for Edison Flores, Julio Furch, Angel Marquez and Edgar Zaldivar, repectively. Querétaro brought on Jordan Silva, Mario Osuna and Jose Angulo, to replace Enzo Martinez, Jorge Hernandez and David Barbona.
