San Luis 1 – Toluca 0: Los Diablos Rojos unable to avoid away defeat

Atl. San Luis beated Deportivo Toluca 1-0 on Monday at Alfonso Lastras Ramirez. With both teams drawing in their previous fixtures, they were keen to pick up points. San Luis arrived with the intention of increasing their league score following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Juárez in their previous game whilst Toluca secured a point against Puebla in their previous match. As the table looks today, San Luis and Toluca currently occupy 12th and 2nd spots in the table, with 11 points and 21 points respectively after 10 matches.

San Luis started the first half well, when Jhon Murillo found the net just before halftime The second part ended with little further action at either end and goalless.

Both managers used the full entitlement. Substitutions for San Luis included Juan Sanabria, Juan Castro and Rubens Sambueza for Rodrigo Dourado, Vitinho and Jhon Murillo, repectively, Toluca brought on Marcel Ruiz, Camilo Da Silva and Jorge Rodriguez, to replace Raul Lopez, Claudio Baeza and Brayan Angulo.

There were bookings for Rodrigo Gonzalez, Javier Guemez and Rubens Sambueza from San Luis, and Jordan Sierra, for Toluca.

Toluca and San Luis will next play at home to Querétaro and Tigres UANL respectively.
