Seville 4 – Granada 2: Los Nervionenses celebrate win at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan

Seville strolled past Granada with a 4-2 win on Friday at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. Seville arrived at the game looking pick up points after losing 1-0 to Barcelona in their last fixture. Granada secured a point against Rayo Vallecano in their previous match. After today’s result, Seville are in 2nd place on the table and has 60 points while Granada sit in 16th with 29 points after 31 matches.
It was an impressive opening from Nasrids, thanks to Darwin Machis giving Nasrids the lead, 23 minutes in. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Diego Carlos equalised for Los Nervionenses in the 32nd minute, finishing the first half 1-1.
Seville rallied after this and were rewarded, with Lucas Ocampos finding the net in the 66th minute. However, the good fortune didn’t last for long. An equalizer from Victor Diaz in the 88th minute brought Granada level. However, each side looked hungry to win and Seville then found the back of the net, 90 minutes in thanks to Rafa Mir, taking the score to 3-2. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Papu Gomez just before the final whistle with a final score of 4-2.
For Seville, Erik Lamela, Papu Gomez, Rafa Mir, Nemanja Gudelj and Oliver Torres, came on for Youssef En-Nesyri, Anthony Martial, Lucas Ocampos, Diego Carlos and Jesus Corona. Granada brought on German Sanchez, Quini, Matias Arezo, Alberto Soro and Jorge Molina, to replace Raul Torrente, Domingos Duarte, Darwin Machis, Yan Eteki and Sergio Escudero.
There were bookings for Joan Jordan, Munir El Haddadi and Rafa Mir from Seville. For Granada, Yan Eteki and Luis Suarez saw yellow.
Seville next face R Madrid and Granada are at home to Levante.
