Real 1 – Osasuna 0: Visitors leave the Reale Arena empty handed

Real Sociedad eased past Osasuna in a 1-0 victory on Sunday at the Reale Arena. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Real were looking to get back their winning ways after losing their last game 4-0 to Athletic Bilbao. Osasuna lost 3-0 in the last match they played against Atletico Madrid. Following today’s result, Real are in 7th place, with 41 points from 26 matches, while Osasuna sit in 11th, with 32 points from 26.

After an un-eventful first half, Whatever was said in the dressing room at half time, seemed to have a positive effect on Real who started the second half well, thanks to Aritz Elustondo giving The White and Blues the lead, at 52 minutes and seeing the game end 1-0.

For Real, Mikel Oyarzabal, Alex Sola, Martin Zubimendi and Portu, came on for Ander Martin, Nais Djouahra, Illarramendi and Andoni Gorosabel. Osasuna replaced Kike Garcia, Javi Martinez, Kike Barja, Roberto Torres and Jose Angel with Lucas Torro, Darko Brasanac, Ruben Garcia, Ezequiel Avila and Manu Sanchez.

The referee booked Juan Cruz, Nacho Vidal, Jose Angel and Roberto Torres for Osasuna.

Real will next travel to R Madrid, while Osasuna will face Villarreal at home.
