Real Sociedad 1-1 Atletico Madrid: Los Colchoneros miss three points at Sociedad

Real were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by Atleti on Saturday at the Reale Arena. Both teams arrived at the challenge after previous wins. Real were looking to continue their good run, following a 1-0 victory against Elche. Atleti were coming off the back of a 1-0 win against Valencia. both teams are now on 7 points and sit in 8th and 6th places respectively after 4 matches.

Atleti found the net first, with an early goal from Alvaro Morata in the 5th minute, to take a 1-0 lead into half time.

Real started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, thanks to a goal from Umar Sadiq, 55 minutes in, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Substitutions for Real included Umar Sadiq, Take, Aritz Elustondo, Ander Barrenetxea and Alex Sola for Alexander Sorloth, David Silva, Igor Zubeldia, Mohamed-Ali Cho and Andoni Gorosabel, respectively. Atleti brought on Geoffrey Kondogbia, Antoine Griezmann, Angel Correa, Mario Hermoso and Ivo Grbic, to replace Saul Niguez, Rodrigo De Paul, Alvaro Morata, Yannick Carrasco and Jan Oblak.

There were bookings for Martin Zubimendi, Mohamed-Ali Cho, Igor Zubeldia, Andoni Gorosabel and Mikel Merino from Real, and Saul Niguez, Rodrigo De Paul, Marcos Llorente and Alvaro Morata, for Atleti.

Real will next travel to Getafe, while Atleti will face Celta Vigo at home.
