Seville to challenge League Leaders RMA, as they visit Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday GMT.

Leaders RMA are currently 11 places higher than their rivals Seville, when the two sides meet, they will sit in first and twelfth positions respectively.

R Madrid will seek to retain their position at the top of the table, this meeting is no exception

RMA must take a positive approach to this game, if they are to get anything out of, following their recent defeat to Elche at Estadio Martínez Valero.

Also, League leaders RMA keep finding ways to win, having secured nine victories in their last 10 matches is astonishing this season, which has contributed significantly to rise up the top of the LaLiga. 9 wins, 0 losses and 1 draws; That’s worth the number one spot in the League having won nine meetings and drawn one game.

RMA have won three games and drawn one game of their four League matches at home this season.

R Madrid will want to keep the pressure on their rivals as they sit at the top of the table, a win will take them to 31 points and keep their momentum going forward.

A solid defensive team

It’s an easy statement to make, but to win you simply have to score more goals than your opponent. RMA have been consistently applying this principle, whilst remaining defensively solid as a unit this season, with eight goals in their previous fixtures. RMA are currently one of the best goal scoring teams in the LaLiga, having so far netted 25 (23 from open play and two penalties). This is largely down to the efforts of their stand-out attackers – Karim Benzema (5), Federico Valverde (5), and Vinicius Junior (5).

RMA’s ever growing list of players missing due to injury or illness to be a concern for Carlo Ancelotti, ahead of this Saturday’s fixture against their opponents.

Seville’s LaLiga season, has so far seen them gain 10 points, going into this game

Seville’s next opponents will smell blood if they begin the next match with all guns blazing. Whilst it’s understandable that they may want to do this, after their recent 1-1 draw at Valencia and previous loss to Mallorca, Los Nervionenses must get a positive result and keep defensively solid.

Also, a draw statistic of three in five games is not all bad, but unfortunately will not bring the success Jorge Sampaoli’s men wishes for ultimately. They currently stand twelfth in the League, with 10 points for a total of 2 wins, 4 losses and 4 draws having won two games, drawn four fixtures, and lost four meetings.

Playing away from home, Seville have won two matches, drawn one game, and lost two meetings.

Victory for Seville would take their points tally to 13 so far this season.

Going into Saturday’s game, Jorge Sampaoli without six of his players, due to illness or injury.
