Osasuna 2-0 Valladolid: Los Rojillos take all 3 points at the Estadio El Sadar

Osasuna eased past Real Valladolid in a 2-0 victory on Sunday at the Estadio El Sadar. Osasuna arrived with the intention of improving their league position following a disappointing 1-1 draw with Girona in their previous game while Valladolid were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo. Osasuna are now in 6th place, with 20 points from 12 matches, while Valladolid sit in 11th, with 14 points from 12.

It was an impressive opening from Osasuna, when Ezequiel Avila found the net in the 13th minute. However they weren’t finished yet and Moi Gomez made it 2-0, 19 minutes in. The score at break remained 2-0. Both teams struggled to produce anything meaningful in the second half, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Osasuna included Ruben Garcia, Jon Moncayola, Kike Garcia, Roberto Torres and Juan Cruz for Kike Barja, Ante Budimir, Ezequiel Avila, Moi Gomez and Manu Sanchez, respectively. Valladolid brought on Ivan Fresneda, Monchu, Gonzalo Plata, Alvaro Aguado and Sergi Guardiola, to replace Zouhair Feddal, Roque Mesa, Lucas Rosa, Kike Perez and Shon Weissman.

There were bookings for Lucas Torro from Osasuna. For Valladolid, Lucas Rosa, Roque Mesa and Lucas Olaza saw yellow.

Osasuna will next travel to Celta Vigo, while Valladolid will face Elche at home.
