Osasuna go to the Estadio El Sadar on Sunday as League Leaders, in this Season’s return fixture between the two sides.

Sunday’s clash between Osasuna and Mallorca, sees ninth take on seventeenth in the League.

Osasuna arrive at this match, having secured 47 points so far this season

Osasuna will be keen to retain their winning form, having beaten Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in their last match.

Also, with three draws in four meetings, Manager Jagoba Arrasate has plenty to ponder, going into the next fixture, not least of which is how to get the wins he needs. With 47 points (12W, 14L and 11D), they are established in ninth position in the League having won 12 fixtures, drawn 11 games, and lost 14 matches.

When Osasuna host Mallorca, they will do so on the back of five wins, seven darts, and six losses on their own ground.

Victory for Osasuna would take their points tally to 50 so far this season.

Travelling Mallorca will have promotion hopes alive

Mallorca will take a huge positive from their recent 2-1 win against Rayo Vallecano at Estadi de Son Moix.

Also, suffering 14 losses in 20 meetings is a terrible run of form for any club, Javier Aguirre’s Mallorca will know this and will be hopeful of turning it around. With a seventeenth position in the league and 9 wins, 19 losses and 9 draws, they currently have 36 points in the League having won nine fixtures, drawn nine games, and lost 19 matches.

Mallorca now travel, knowing that their current away form is woeful. So far this season they have won two matches, drawn three fixtures, and lost 13 matches matches on the road.

Winning this fixture will see Mallorca on 39 points.

It is likely that four key players will miss Sunday’s fixture, which is something of a concern for Javier Aguirre and his Mallorca team.
