Osasuna 2-0 Cádiz: Victory for Los Rojillos as they blank Cádiz

Osasuna defeated Cádiz 2-0 on Saturday at the Estadio El Sadar. Osasuna were looking to pick up points, following a 2-1 victory against Seville whilst Cádiz were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Real Sociedad. As the table looks today, Osasuna and Cádiz currently occupy 1st and 18th spots in the table, with 6 points and 0 points respectively after 2 matches.

Osasuna started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Ezequiel Avila found the net, 37 minutes in to see out the first half 1-0.

Los Rojillos continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Kike Garcia at the 79 minute mark, leaving the final score at 2-0.

Substitutions for Osasuna included Kike Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Darko Brasanac, Nacho Vidal and Roberto Torres for Ante Budimir, Ezequiel Avila, Jon Moncayola, Ruben Pena and Aimar Oroz, repectively. Cádiz replaced Awer Mabil, Mamady Diarra, Fali, Alfonso Espino and Lucas Perez for Jose Mari, Ivan Alejo, Santiago Arzamendia, Alvaro Negredo and Fede San Emeterio.

The referee booked Lucas Torro and Ezequiel Avila from Osasuna. Cádiz had the worst of it though, with Ivan Alejo, Tomás Alarcon, Víctor Chust and Anthony Lozano seeing yellow, and Tomás Alarcon (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Osasuna will next play Real Betis away, with Cádiz facing Athletic Bilbao at home.
