Mallorca 0-1 Barca: Los Blaugranas go top after narrow road win

Mallorca fell to a home defeat at the hands of Barcelona at Estadi de Son Moix on Saturday. Both Mallorca and Barca arrived fresh from some positive results. Mallorca were looking to continue their good run, following a 1-0 victory against Almería. Barca were hoping to continue their winning streak after back-to-back victories against Elche and Cádiz. Mallorca are 10th with 8 points from 7 matches, while Barca sit in 1st, with 19 points from 7.

The first half of the match started well for Los Blaugranas, when Robert Lewandowski found the net, at 20 minutes, ending the first half 1-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

Substitutions for Mallorca included Dani Rodriguez, Brian Cufre and Lago Junior for Antonio Sanchez, Jaume Costa and Inigo Ruiz de Galarreta, respectively. Barca brought on Pedri, Raphinha, Sergi Roberto and Ferran Torres, to replace Franck Kessie, Ansu Fati, Jordi Alba and Ousmane Dembele.

There were bookings for Jaume Costa and Martin Valjent from Mallorca. For Barca, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Pique, Franck Kessie and Sergio Busquets saw yellow.

Mallorca will next travel to Elche, while Barca will face Celta Vigo at home.
