Levante 3-1 Alaves: Levante wins duel between La Liga bottom two

Levante eased past Alaves in a 3-1 victory on Sunday at the Ciutat de Valencia. Levante were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to R Madrid. Alaves were able to continue their winning streak after a 2-1 win against Espanyol in their last match. As it stands, Levante and Alaves are 19th, (32 points) and 20th, (31 points), spots respectively, after 37 matches.

The first half of the game started favourably for The glorious one, with Joselu finding the net, 36 minutes in, finishing the first half 0-1.

Levante started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, thanks to Oscar Duarte finding the net, 53 minutes in. The Frogs looked to have the game under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Roger Marti, 74 minutes in to establish a 2-1. Levante then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Jose Luis Morales just before the final whistle with a final score of 3-1.

For Levante, Dani Gomez, Pepelu, Coke, Roberto Soldado and Jorge Miramon, came on for Alejandro Cantero, Mickael Malsa, Marcelo Saracchi, Roger Marti and Enis Bardhi. Alaves brought on Manu Garcia, Edgar Mendez, Manu Vallejo, Marc Tenas and Facundo Tenaglia for Jason, Miguel De la Fuente, Pere Pons, Victor Laguardia and Ruben Duarte.

There were bookings for Jose Campana, Jose Luis Morales, Marcelo Saracchi, Mickael Malsa, Son, Roberto Soldado, Ruben Vezo and Coke from Levante. For Alaves, Pere Pons, Miguel De la Fuente, Edgar Mendez, Gonzalo Escalante, Marc Tenas and Florian Lejeune saw yellow.

Levante will play away against Rayo Vallecano, while Alaves will face Cádiz at home.
