Getafe 2-1 Real Sociedad: Deep Blues see off visitors at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez

Real Sociedad on away loss to Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday. Getafe were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 5-1 to Valencia. Real, meanwhile, were struggling for form following a draw in their last match. Getafe and Real are 18th, (4 points) and 11th, (7 points), in the league respectively, after 5 matches.

Deep Blues started strongly in the first half, when Enes Unal gave them the lead just before half-time

Getafe started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with an early goal from Carles Alena in the 48th minute. Real in turn, then responded, 50 minutes in, grabbing the lead with an effort from Brais Mendez. When the final whistle blew, the result was 2-1 to Getafe.

Substitutions for Getafe included Juan Iglesias, Jaime Seoane, Portu and Munir El Haddadi for Fabrizio Angileri, Angel Algobia, Carles Alena and Borja Mayoral, respectively. Real replaced Umar Sadiq, Take, Benat Turrientes, Alex Sola and Alexander Sorloth for Mohamed-Ali Cho, Brais Mendez, David Silva, Andoni Gorosabel and Jon Karrikaburu.

There were bookings for Carles Alena, Juan Iglesias, Damian Suarez and Domingos Duarte from Getafe, and Andoni Gorosabel, for Real.

Getafe will next travel to Osasuna, while Real will face Espanyol at home.
