Getafe 1 – Mallorca 0: Narrow victory for Deep Blues at home to The Vermilions

Getafe strolled past Mallorca with a 1-0 win on Saturday at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Getafe arrived with the intention of increasing their league score after a 1-1 draw against Athletic Bilbao whilst Mallorca were beaten 1-0 in the previous match against Espanyol. Following today’s result, Getafe and Mallorca currently occupy 14th and 18th spots in the table, with 32 points and 26 points respectively after 30 matches.
After a goalless first half, Getafe piled on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Borja Mayoral in the 82nd minute, leaving the final score at 1-0.
For Getafe, Juan Iglesias, Borja Mayoral, Oscar, Gonzalo Villar and Florentino Luis, came on for Damian Suarez, Sandro Ramirez, Okay Yokuslu, Nemanja Maksimovic and Carles Alena. Mallorca brought on Angel Rodriguez, Take, Kang In Lee and Antonio Sanchez, to replace Fernando Nino, Rodrigo Battaglia, Salva Sevilla and Dani Rodriguez.
The referee booked Damian Suarez, Enes Unal, Sandro Ramirez, Mauro Arambarri and Borja Mayoral from Getafe. Mallorca had the worst of it though, with Dani Rodriguez, Giovanni Gonzalez, Franco Russo, Salva Sevilla and Pablo Maffeo seeing yellow, and Franco Russo (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.
