The momentum was again with Seville, who then scored again courtesy of a 2nd effort from Jose Carmona in the 45th minute to establish a 3-0 result. However, Budgerigars hit back though thanks to a Joselu goal just before half-time, concluding the first half 3-1.

Espanyol took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Martin Braithwaite, 62 minutes in. The match ended with a 3-2 win for Seville.
