Espanyol 1 – Osasuna 1: Victory elusive at Rcde Stadium for both sides

On Sunday, Espanyol and Osasuna were held to a 1-1 draw at Rcde Stadium. Espanyol were hoping to get something from this game, following a previous defeat to R Madrid. Osasuna secured a point against Elche in their previous match. As it stands, Espanyol and Osasuna currently occupy 13th and 9th spots in the league, with 40 points and 46 points respectively after 35 matches.

Osasuna started the game well, with Kike Barja finding the net just before half-time, finishing the first half 0-1.

Espanyol took the lead in the second half, thanks to Nicolas Melamed Ribaudo finding the net at the 67 minute mark, leaving the final score at 1-1.

For Espanyol, Raul De Tomas, Oscar Melendo, Nicolas Melamed Ribaudo and Adri Embarba, came on for Wu Lei, Manu Morlanes, Tonny Vilhena and Javi Puado. Osasuna brought on Oier, Ezequiel Avila, Lucas Torro, Ruben Garcia and Nacho Vidal for Javi Martinez, Kike Barja, Darko Brasanac, Jonas Ramalho and Manu Sanchez.

There were bookings for Tonny Vilhena from Espanyol. For Osasuna, Kike Barja, Darko Brasanac and Manu Sanchez saw yellow.

Espanyol will next travel to Alaves, while Osasuna will face Getafe at home.
