Cádiz 0-0 Villarreal: Goalless draw leaves both teams frustrated

Cádiz were helde ach other to a 0-0 draw by Villarreal on Saturday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Cádiz were looking to continue their good run after winning last match. Villarreal had managed to pick up a point in their matchup with Seville. Cádiz are now in 19th place, with 3 points from 7 matches, while Villarreal sit in 6th, with 11 points from 7.

Substitutions for Cádiz included Alex, Lucas Perez, Anthony Lozano, Jose Mari and Joseba Zaldua for Alvaro Negredo, Fede San Emeterio, Theo Bongonda, Ruben Alcaraz and Ivan Alejo, respectively. Villarreal brought on Arnaut Danjuma, Jose Luis Morales and Samuel Chukwueze, to replace Francis Coquelin, Giovani Lo Celso and Nicolas Jackson.

The referee booked Ruben Alcaraz and Ivan Alejo from Cádiz and Isaac Carcelén went off with a red card, while Villarreal’s Geronimo Rulli, Francis Coquelin and Alex Baena also received a yellow.

Cádiz will play their next fixture at home against Espanyol, while Villarreal will face Real Sociedad away.
