Cádiz beat Villarreal with a thumping 1-0 victory on Sunday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Cádiz were looking to get back their winning ways, following a previous defeat to Atletico Madrid. Villarreal were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Celta Vigo. Following a goalless first half, gaditano applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with Ruben Sobrino finding the net just before the final whistle, leaving the final score at 1-0.
