Wednesday’s fixture between Cádiz and Betis delivered a goalless draw at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Cádiz were aiming to improve their league standing after a 1-1 draw against Girona. Betis were looking to extend their winning run after a 3-1 victory against Almería. Cádiz and Betis currently occupy 19th and 4th spots in the league, with 7 points and 20 points respectively after 10 matches.

Substitutions for Cádiz included Ruben Alcaraz, Isaac Carcelén, Ruben Sobrino, Alfonso Espino and Jose Mari for Fede San Emeterio, Joseba Zaldua, Theo Bongonda, Santiago Arzamendia and Alex, respectively. Betis brought on Sergio Canales, Juan Cruz, Borja Iglesias, Andres Guardado and Youssouf Sabaly, to replace William Carvalho, Joaquin, Willian Jose, Rodri and Luiz Henrique.

The referee booked Ruben Alcaraz from Cádiz. Betis had the worst of it though, with Sergio Canales seeing yellow, and Sergio Canales (2 yellow cards) then sent off with a red.

Cádiz will next travel to Rayo Vallecano, while Betis will face Atletico Madrid at home.
