Cádiz 1 – Getafe 1: Honours even and points shared at Estadio Ramon de Carranza

Cádiz were held to 1-1 draw by Getafe down on Saturday at Estadio Ramon de Carranza. Cádiz were looking for a victory following a disappointing 0-0 draw with Celta Vigo in their previous game. Getafe had lost their previous match against Atletico Madrid. After today’s result, Cádiz are in 18th place, with 20 points from 25 matches, while Getafe sit in 15th, with 26 points from 25.

Deep Blues dominated the first half, thanks to Borja Mayoral giving Getafe the lead after only 6 minutes. However, their lead was short lived, as Alvaro Negredo equalised for Cádiz just before half-time and seeing the first half out 1-1. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-1 at full time.

For Cádiz, Juan Cala, Ruben Sobrino, Salvi Sanchez and Jose Mari, came on for Fali, Anthony Lozano, Carlos Akapo and Fede San Emeterio. Getafe brought on Florentino Luis, Erick Cabaco and Sandro Ramirez, to replace Okay Yokuslu, Stefan Mitrovic and Borja Mayoral.

There were bookings for Alvaro Negredo, Alfonso Espino and Ruben Alcaraz from Cádiz, and Okay Yokuslu, Mauro Arambarri, Damian Suarez and Jakub Jankto, for Getafe.

Cádiz will next play Granada away, with Getafe facing Alaves at home.
