Barca 4 – Osasuna 0: Los Rojillos blown away at the Nou Camp

Barca enjoyed a mesmerising home victory against Osasuna at the Nou Camp on Sunday. Both Barca and Osasuna arrived on the back of wins. Barca were looking to continue their run after winning their previous two games against Elche away and Athletic Bilbao at home, by 2-1 and 4-0 respectively. Osasuna were looking to extend their winning run after a 1-0 victory against Villarreal. After today’s result, Barca and Osasuna are 3rd, (51 points) and 11th, (35 points), spots respectively, after 28 matches.

Los Blaugranas started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, with Ferran Torres opening the rout in the 14th minute. The momentum was now with Barca, who then scored again through a second effort from Ferran Torres, 21 minutes in to establish a 2-0. They then scored again, increasing their advantage thanks to a goal from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 27 minutes in, to take a 3-0 lead into half time.

Barca continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Riqui Puig in the 75th minute, leaving the final score at 4-0.

For Barca, Clement Lenglet, Memphis Depay, Riqui Puig, Óscar Mingueza and Martin Braithwaite, came on for Gerard Pique, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Pedri, Jordi Alba and Ferran Torres. Osasuna replaced David Garcia, Ruben Garcia, Lucas Torro, Iker Benito and Javi Martinez for Aridane, Roberto Torres, Unai Garcia, Ante Budimir and Darko Brasanac.

The referee booked Nacho Vidal, David Garcia, Unai Garcia and Darko Brasanac for Osasuna.

Barca will play their next fixture away against R Madrid, while Osasuna will face Levante at home.
