Almería 1-2 Real Madrid: Champions Madrid fight back for opening win

Almería open LaLiga season with a defeat against R Madrid. Today’s result, Almería are in 17th place in the table and have 0 points while RMA sit in 3rd with 3 points after 1 match.

Almería started the first half well, when Largie Ramazani found the net after only 6 minutes to take them into the break 1-0 up.

Los Blancos continued to pile on the pressure in the second and were rewarded, when Lucas Vazquez found the net in the 61st minute. RMA then netted once more and turned the match thanks to a goal from David Alaba in the 75th minute to make it 2-1.

Substitutions for Almería included Curro, Dyego Sousa, Jose Carlos Lazo, Francisco Portillo and Arnau Sola for Lucas Robertone, Umar Sadiq, Largie Ramazani, Eguaras and Kaiky Melo, repectively. RMA brought on Luka Modric, Eden Hazard, David Alaba, Dani Ceballos and Casemiro for Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Ferland Mendy, Vinicius Junior and Toni Kroos.

There were bookings for Umar Sadiq, Curro and Arnau Sola from Almería, and Eduardo Camavinga, for RMA.

In the second round of action in the LaLiga, both RMA and Almería will play away against Celta Vigo and Elche respectively.
