Almería defeated Getafe 1-0 on Wednesday at Estadio Del Mediterráneo. Almería were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 2-0 to Barcelona. Almería started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Leo Baptistao gave them the lead on the 26 minute mark, finishing the first half 1-0. With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-0.

Substitutions for Almería included Largie Ramazani, Francisco Portillo, Eguaras, Samu and Dyego Sousa for Leo Baptistao, Adri Embarba, Lucas Robertone, El Bilal Toure and Gonzalo Melero, respectively. Getafe brought on Munir El Haddadi and Juan Latasa, to replace Nemanja Maksimovic and Jordan Amavi.
