Shakhtar 1-1 Real Madrid: Los Blancos settle for a point

Shakhtar were helde ach other to a 1-1 draw by RMA on Tuesday at Municipal Stadium of Marshal Jozef Pilsudski. Shakhtar were looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-1 to R Madrid in their previous fixture. RMA were coming from consecutive wins against Shakhtar Donetsk and RB Leipzig. Shakhtar are currently 3rd with 5 points from 4 matches, while RMA sit in 1st, with 10 points from 4.

The first half of the match started favourably for Shakhtar, when Oleksandr Zubkov found the net just before half-time

Los Blancos took the lead in the second half, with a goal from Antonio Rudiger just before the full time, seing the match finish 1-1.

Substitutions for Shakhtar included Danylo Sikan, Neven Djurasek, Lucas Taylor and Ivan Petryak for Lassina Franck Traore, Georgiy Sudakov, Oleksandr Zubkov and Mykhailo Mudryk, respectively. RMA brought on Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga and Marco Asensio, to replace Eden Hazard, Aurelien Tchouameni, Ferland Mendy, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo.

There were bookings for Yukhym Konoplia and Artem Bondarenko from Shakhtar. For RMA, Eder Militao and Toni Kroos saw yellow.

Next up, Shakhtar are away to Celtic, whilst RMA will travel to face RB Leipzig.
