RMA 5 – Celtic 1: Bad day for visitors at Santiago Bernabeu

R Madrid cruise past Celtic 5-1 on Wednesday at Santiago Bernabeu. Following this match, RMA and Celtic sit 1st (13 points) and 4th (2 points) in the league respectively, after a total of 6 matches.

Los Blancos didn’t take long to get on the score-sheet, when Luka Modric opened the rout after only 6 minutes. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Rodrygo, 21 minutes in, finishing the first half 2-0.

RMA started strong in the second half and were able to dominate, with a goal from Marco Asensio, 51 minutes in. RMA looked to have the match under control when they scored again and increased their lead, thanks to a goal from Vinicius Junior, 61 minutes in to establish a 4-0. Los Blancos looked to have the match under control when they scored again to grab the advantage, thanks to a goal from Federico Valverde after 71 minutes to establish a 5-0. In the end though, Celtic then grabbed a goal from Jota, 84 minutes in, leaving the final score at 5-1.
