Marseille 0-1 Frankfurt: Visitors secure points with win at the Orange Velodrome

Marseille were defeated at home by Eintracht Frankfurt at the Orange Velodrome on Tuesday. Both teams arrived at the match with previous defeats in the league. Marseille were hoping to get something from this game after losing 2-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in their last match. Frankfurt lost 3-0 in their against Sporting CP. Marseille are now in 4th place, with 0 points from 2 matches, while Frankfurt sit in 3rd, with 3 points from 2.

Frankfurt dominated the first half, when Jesper Lindstrom gave them the lead just before half-time. The score at half time remained 1-0. Both teams unable to deliver anything further, the score remained at 1-0 at full time.

Substitutions for Marseille included Cengiz Under, Amine Harit, Luis Suarez, Matteo Guendouzi and Issa Kabore for Dimitri Payet, Gerson, Alexis Sanchez, Eric Bailly and Valentin Rongier, respectively.
