Liverpool 2-0 Rangers : Reds secure comfortable home win

Liverpool eased past Rangers in a 2-0 victory on Tuesday at Anfield. Liverpool were looking to pick up points after winning last match, while Rangers were beaten 3-0 in their previous match against Napoli. Liverpool are now in 2nd place on the table and have 6 points while Rangers sit in 4th with 0 points after 3 matches.

The first half of the match started favourably for The Reds, when Trent Alexander-Arnold gave them the lead after only 7 minutes and saw the first half out 1-0.

Liverpool started the second half with renewed vigour, thanks to a goal from Mohamed Salah, at 53 minutes. They managed to close the match out with a clean sheet and a well-earned of 2-0 victory.

Substitutions for Liverpool included Roberto Firmino, Fabinho, Harvey Elliott, James Milner and Joe Gomez for Diogo Jota, Jordan Henderson, Darwin Nunez, Thiago and Trent Alexander-Arnold, respectively. Rangers brought on Fashion Sakala, Ryan Jack, Antonio Colak, Rabbi Matondo and Glen Kamara, to replace Malik Tillman, Steven Davis, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Ben Davies.

There were bookings for Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool. For Rangers, John Lundstram saw yellow.

Liverpool will next play Rangers away, with Rangers facing Liverpool at home.
