Liverpool defeated Napoli 2-0 on Tuesday at Anfield. Both sides arrived in good form, having secured victories in their previous matches. Liverpool were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games in the competition. After an uneventful first half, The Reds applied pressure in the second and were rewarded, with a goal from Mohamed Salah on the 85 minute mark. Liverpool then scored again and increased their lead thanks to a goal from Darwin Nunez just before the full time to make it 2-0.
