Celtic 0-2 Leipzig: The Red Bulls end Celtic’s qualification hopes
Celtic were defeated at home by RB Leipzig at Celtic Park on Tuesday. Celtic were looking to get back to winning ways after losing their last match 3-1 to RB Leipzig. Leipzig, meanwhile, were coming off the back of a 3-1 win against Celtic. Celtic and Leipzig currently occupy 4th and 2nd spots in the league, with 1 point and 6 points respectively after 4 matches.
After an uneventful first half, Leipzig continued to apply pressure in the second period and were rewarded, when Timo Werner found the net, 75 minutes in. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Emil Forsberg on the 84 minute mark to give a final score of 2-0.
