Dortmund 1-1 Sevilla: Points shared at the Signal Iduna Park

On Tuesday, Dortmund and Seville played out a 1-1 draw at the Signal Iduna Park. Dortmund were looking to pick up points, following a 4-1 victory against Seville. Seville had lost their previous match against Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund and Seville currently occupy 2nd and 3rd spots in the table, with 7 points and 2 points respectively after 4 matches.

Seville started the first half well, when Nianzou Tanguy Kouassi found the net in the 18th minute. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Jude Bellingham equalised for Dortmund in the 35th minute, which brought Edin Terzic’s squad level at 1-1 at the half time break With both teams struggling to produce anything meaningful in the second half though, the match ended 1-1.

Substitutions for Dortmund included Raphael Guerreiro, Youssoufa Moukoko, Thorgan Hazard, Giovanni Reyna and Nico Schlotterbeck for Tom Rothe, Anthony Modeste, Karim Adeyemi, Donyell Malen and Thomas Meunier, respectively. Seville brought on Adnan Januzaj, Isco, Alex Telles, Joan Jordan and Gonzalo Montiel, to replace Suso, Youssef En-Nesyri, Marcos Acuna, Marcao and Jesus Navas.

There were bookings for Salih Ozcan from Dortmund. For Seville, Nemanja Gudelj, Bono and Jose Carmona saw yellow.

Seville and Dortmund will next play at home to Copenhague and Manchester City respectively.
