Bayern 5-0 Viktoria: Bayern Munich dominant at the Allianz

Bayern Munich strolled past Viktoria Pilsen with a 5-0 win on Tuesday at Allianz Arena. Bayern were looking to continue their good run after winning their previous two games against Barcelona at home and Internazionale away, by 2-0 and 2-0 respectively while Viktoria had lost their previous match against Internazionale. Bayern and Viktoria sit 1st, (9 points) and 4th, (0 points), in the league respectively, after 3 matches.

Bayern started strong and were rewarded for their efforts, when Leroy Sane opened the rout early in the first half. The momentum was again with The Reds, who then scored again courtesy of a goal from Serge Gnabry on the 13 minute mark to establish a 2-0 result. They then scored again, pulling level thanks to a goal from Sadio Mane in the 21st minute. The first half ended 3-0.

The Reds staged a comeback in the second half, with an early 2nd effort from Leroy Sane in the 50th minute. Bayern then netted once more and increased their advantage thanks to a goal from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in the 59th minute to give a final score of 5-0.

Substitutions for Bayern included Josip Stanisic, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Mathys Tel, Benjamin Pavard and Marcel Sabitzer for Alphonso Davies, Jamal Musiala, Leroy Sane, Dayot Upamecano and Leon Goretzka, respectively. Viktoria brought on Vaclav Jemelka, Erik Jirka, Fortune Akpan Bassey, Mohamed Tijani and Vaclav Pilar, to replace Adam Vlkanova, Jan Kopic, Tomas Chory, Lukas Hejda and John Mosquera.

The referee booked one player from Viktoria, Tomas Chory.

Bayern will next travel to Viktoria Pilsen, while Viktoria will face Bayern Munich at home.
